EDIT: it's confirmed
Quote: | Blades Of Time Coming To PC, Mac On April 18th
Author: William Usherpublished: 2012-03-22 13:47:02
Gaijin Entertainment's recent co-op release for the Xbox 360 and PS3, Blades of Time, is not a home console exclusive. The company recently announced that a version of the game is in the works for PCs and Macs and will arrive in April.
The game itself is about players assuming the role of Ayumi, a buxom treasure hunter who can utilize a variety of deadly weapons against dangerous foes. The game mixes anime fan-service with over-the-top action-violence as well as giving gamers gorgeous vistas to see and beautiful environments to explore.
The press release briefly covers some of the exclusive PC/Mac features for Blades of Times, saying...
The Blades of Time: Limited Edition for PC and Mac includes the game itself (formerly console-only), along with an exclusive new pack of additional content. Blades of Time: Limited Edition includes a hefty amount of bonus material as well as the all-new Dismal Swamp add-on. In this exclusive new content, players get to complete Ayumy’s challenge as a secondary character, Michelle, who rushes into the Temple of Dragons to prevent Ayumy from joining the Keeper of Chaos when her shuttle suddenly crashes in the middle of Dismal Swamp.
What's more is that the game also sports a "Time Rewind" feature just like Blinx, where gamers can attack an enemy and then rewind and then attack a different enemy while the replay attacks a separate foe. If you're into that sort of stuff then it's just some extra icing on the cake.
You can look for Blades of Time to land on PC and Mac via Steam on April 18th. You can check out the limited edition details below or visit the Official Website for more info.
Blades of Time: Limited Edition on Steam includes:
• The full Blades of Time game (formerly a console exclusive)
• The Dismal Swamp mission add-on
• Sky Islands map for Outbreak mode (exclusive to PC/Mac)
• Downloadable art book
• Blades of Time-inspired HD wallpapers
• Original Blades of Time soundtrack |

The physical release is still some ways off (Will be distributed via Mamba games, can't find the article now but I think it was in May.) and today the digital release via Steam should happen probably both via Steam and also YuPlay though until it appears on Steam as released there can't really be any other download of it since the files are completely unavailable.

So, what's it like? Does it have RPG elements? Good combat mechanics?

Got this in the mail just now, might perhaps have affected the above too?

Good afternoon,
There was a totally unexpected confusion with the Blades of Time distribution files, currently available in Steam, which are of an old version, most likely to be stuck during the first level.
Therefore its keys were removed from the shop for selling and will be added as soon as the problem is solved. The correct version should be available with an update coming during 24 hours.
We apologize for the caused troubles and hope for understanding.

(Release date was also changed to the 20th.)

So it's not the final version in the end? Good thing I didn't play much. The game seems quite solid, at least as far as I'm concerned. I really liked the first game and this seems pretty much an evolution of that, with a radical change of art style, of course. Also, this is one of those games that look so much better with the FXAA injector. I'll make some screenshots to prove that.

Is there any proof to this not being the "final" version?

Yes, I know about that.. it was posted on this very page, but my point is; the Steam version isn't on sale yet so how could Skidrow/whoever upload THAT copy?
