could have done with a less ridiculous story
looks very alien-like, but cheap
doesn't look that encouraging when there's zero mechanics on display as of yet - just walking simulator
but will give it a try - especially if there's oculus support Smile

I think they have misunderstood a thing or two about how you harvest coffee beans. I'm sorry but the title alone makes me think this is some sort of bad joke. Too bad since i love Alien and it looks great, but the back-story is just retarded beyond belief. Maybe make it about something slightly more scary than caffeine?? Very Happy

Think about it as Stanley but with jumpscares. You don't always need super-realistic sci-fi story to build up an antmosphere.

Probably a skip for me, i hated Stanley Parable, total crap imo..

Games doesnt need story to have atmosphere, but if the story is shit or just plain dumb it can ruin it completely.

Platforms

Caffeine - Episode One will be available on Windows & Max OSX at launch, while the Linux version will be up as soon as I crush some unforeseen last minute bugs (should be within a day or two).

Issues & Bugs

If you experience any bugs or issues please let me know via support@incandescentimaging.net and feel free to suggest features / settings that you feel would add to the usability of the game.

On that note, this is our first game release on multiple platforms so don't fret if you find a bug, we will attempt to crush it asap!

VR Support

On release Caffeine will have full in-game Oculus Rift support by hitting alt+tab while in-game. The main menu and settings menus are currently displaying incorrectly while in stereo mode, this will be patched into the game along with OSVR & SteamVR support later on in release week so we can iron out gameplay related issues first.

Anyway that's enough for now, back to bug fixing!

Apparently the UE4 demo suffers from various framerate problems so it'll probably be similar in this first episode unfortunately.
