I don't know what to think... I don't like it as much as the previous two. I am disappointed. Aside from the excellent "Necessary Evil" and the ok "Rise", it is quite forgettable. Very few new motifs (mainly around the Bane chant motif) and mostly copypasta from previous works. TDK's soundtrack was much much more interesting, it felt like a direct continuation of Begins'. This one, instead of having the luxury of being both a continuation and a grand finale to an amazing series (and amazing scores), it fails, I think. I assume James Newton Howard had much influence over this, as his presence this time is missed. What will be remembered of this score? "Deshi deshi basara basara" chant is about it. What a shame.
I really hope an expanded score does come out to remedy my disappointment. This is not to say the score won't be effective in the film, but solely on listening to it, I am left unimpressed and disappointed.
I like Zimmer, I think he does good job most of the time. But I think the Zimmer-Newton Howard dynamic created something special that was lost when attempted by Zimmer alone.

DISH DISH WASHER WASHER
Some tracks just give me goosebumps. Can't wait to hear them in the movie. Maybe you should rate this soundtrack again after watching the movie with some filmmaterial in your head to every track.
