A complete from scratch recreation of Super Mario Bros. with a focus on perfectly imitating the feel the 1985 classic gave us. Then give Mario a portal gun, add puzzle game mechanics from Portal and there you go. And if that wasn't crazy enough, play 4-player coop, with everyone having their own Portal gun!

As has been pointed out by Pixieking, theres so many copyright violations here that it's easier to count where there isn't a copyright violation, than where there is. This won't have a long and healthy life.

I used to be pretty good at this game, but that was before they added that gun, most deaths were due to misusing the effects of that thing but I had fun.
It looks like and strives to look like the 80's NES (Famicon?) version, no doubt the later ports by Nintendo have had all sorts of enhancements even outside the actual remakes of the game on newer consoles like the Snes and GameBoy for example or current Wii re-releases.
EDIT: In fact it looks near identical and uses the same art maybe, even sounds are original, bit of a legal issue should Nintendo go after them I guess since that would give them troubles but since it's been out since March without anything happening maybe they don't care though I imagine they just don't know about it.
