I have a GTX260(900 MB RAM) and a Radeon 5770(512 MB RAM) . I'd like to use them together : the GTX for the PhysX, the Radeon for DX11.
The mobo is an Asus with X48 chipset. I have Win 7 64 bit.

So there's some chance this will work ?

As far as I can remember, it is possible via hybrid PhysX .. but it's been a while since I kept up with that kind of stuff.

Worked fine for me when I tested it with 5870 + 8800 GTS. I think that was less than a year ago. Really not difficult at all to get working.

Seems to be possible with Hybrid Physx mod, but i have to roll back the Nvidia and Physx drivers. I'm gonna give it a try though. Thanks for the replies, gentlemen.

Is is possible but completely pointless for me...You have to use 5770 as primary card and gtx 260 only for physics....For about 5 games that have physics and worth playing... Laughing Dont see the point. gtx260 is clearly better card, has more memory for bigger resolution and it is nvidia=you dont have to fight with buggy ATI drivers...
MinderMast situation is different-0his ATI card is way more powerfull than ATI one...
Just sell both cards, add some money and buy something newer like gtx460/560

Well, you are right. But i have these games on my list : Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, and BF3. Might worth the effort.

BF3 did not use nvidia physX.
For Batman -both games are not so demanding. If you are not playing on big resolution you will be able to play fine with gtx260 and physx on high.

BF3 indeed doesn't use it, I don't know why so many people think it does.

For Batman: not worth it. I turned it off in both because it makes the game look like a fucking Looney Tunes film with stacks of paper exploding because your small toe grazed them Smile

Seems it will be better to just upgrade to a cheap GTX560 / 560Ti.

I'm going to have to agree on the "buy a single 5xx" -- there just isn't enough titles that properly use PhysX that would make a FrankenX worth while.

I have to agree i was looking into a hybrid setup when I replaced my 280gtx with a 6950 and could find no real reason to do it.

It seems single GTX 670/680 is enough for even the most demanding PhysX titles. Can play even Batman AC with everything on highest settings + PhysX on High @ 2560x1440 (was not even possible to get that good framerate on my SLI 570s @ 1080p). 6xx series has so much of CUDA cores so that probably does the trick.

Tried Batman AC with separate GTX 460 768MB as PhysX card and performance was the same. Tbh i dont see PhysX as crap, its just extra effects
