Yes I know most people here don't like Razer because they apprently die when you slam them against walls and desktops or decide to strangle a burglar with the wire and can't figure out why it doesn't work.

For those of us who like Razer:

Quote:
Enter the Razer Ouroboros, an all-new ambidextrous mouse customizable for all users, no matter your hand size or grip type. The Razer Ouroboros has an adjustable palm rest (height and length), as well as interchangeable side panels designed to fit every grip profile, left-handers and right alike.

Confirmed sensor: Avago S9818

The thing that caught my eye:

Dedicated DPI Clutch Button
Sometimes in the heat of battle there’s a need to slow down and focus to get that perfect headshot off in sniper mode. With our dedicated DPI clutch trigger, you can temporarily decrease / increase your DPI for pinpoint precision at a squeeze of the trigger. Release it to unleash your usual lightning fast speed.

Would be extremely helpful for those games that use iron sights.

Wow that thing looks like designed in airtunnel with cooling vents and all.
The idea is the same is cyborg rat, so it has to be quite good (the customizable parts).

Would like to see the dpi thing in action.

Im sorry but this is bullshit on the level of snakeoil selling in the wild west. Not that its unique for this mouse.

'DPI CLUTCH'

Meanwhile, the G5/G500 has had on the fly DPI changing buttons for years now.

Frankly, I think mice like this look fucking stupid, and their 'features' are a marketing joke.

Sure they have. Razer has done it before.

I have no idea why they decided to make it so that the button has to be pressed down for the DPI to change.
Mouse bullet-time?

I don't like them because the few I've briefly owned (and mind you, they were free, so I really tried to like them) were all shit. Flimsy build quality, shit click feedback (just blowing on the buttons would trigger a click almost, fuck off) and looking at people I know who had Razer and didn't throw them around, they still never last longer than a year.

That and the shape is not right for me. I need a mouse with a higher back that supports my hand, Razer mice are all built for people who don't rest their hand and primarily use their fingers to move it.

All Razer mice that I have had have on the fly DPI changing buttons.

Edit: I'm kinda guessing here, but it seems to me like the "clutch" is an analog button(s) and not digital.

I've always wondered, where do you use that free spin option? While reading, or?

In useless void when some asshole thinks it's funny to quote multiple times a post that has been too long to begin with.

And the mouse looks cool, but i would never buy it. Looks too square. I prefer more ergonomic design.

Meh, there isn't any advantage over clicking the middle mouse button and pulling the mouse towards you. It's just a preference thing.

Pretty much. I use it all the time except in games. It may sound silly, but it's really something that once you get used to it, you hate not having it.

This.

Scrolling normally to the bottom of a page/document or pressing end/page down? Nope, just use the free scroll

Well, even just reading a webpage is just more pleasant, because there's no friction, the page scrolls down smoothly rather than in chunks..yet it still feels as natural as using a scrollwheel does nowadays.

I use it exclusively in general work. Only in game or some retarded apps that can't cope with too many scroll events because they are written by retards. Smile
I even bought me an MX Performance Mouse for work to have the free scroll.

Again, gotta @ Derper for not including something as trivial.

Yes, a cardboard box with laser sensor and two buttons would be functional. But moving plastic not so much. Just like the switchable covers on the G9x are not functional. A free spinning scroll wheel is functional.

That plastic allows for really nice customisation to fit the palm. That is functional.
