So I need a new laptop too, and I just got a couple hundred quid to use.

What do you guys think of this (and don't buy it ffs lol)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110922260509?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_2441wt_1191

I'm not looking for top class performance, but this one seems to be pretty good - especially for the price.

I have a very very strict budget of £240. What ya think?

Oh, and I'm looking at this because of the integrated nVidia graphics - I'm wanting some sort of useful 3d card.

Ok I just bought it. Cool Face
No seriously but someone did Laughing

I don't really like the Inspiron line, I'd rather get something from their business class (Latitude), build quality is much higher. No idea if you can find one within your budget though.

My 5 year old inspiron 6400 is still chugging along like a champion. Great keyboard, love it. I just wish i could keep it going and stick a Core i5 into it Very Happy

So I cannot agree that it is bad. Although, the recent series feel too plastic'ish, kayboards remind me of budget Acers. Was a bit disappointed there.

I bought it Laughing

I looked around for other possibilities, and I almost won a Dell i3 HD3000 2.4Ghz, but missed out by a tenner Sad

Still, this is definitely the best I could find for the money. I just hope it works for longer than a week Laughing

I just got the laptop... it's built like a big plastic tank.... but it's pretty good.

I stuck in a SSD, and after some issues with win 7 & AHCI, I changed it to ATA and it's all sweet.

And damn if I don't adore SSD's! I immediately dislike HDD's now Very Happy

Oh, and if anyone has a spare 775 Dualcore C2D, preferably 2.8Ghz+ they don't want... let me know - I managed to blow mine up Sad So when I buy one, I will have bought a totally new PC.

Let this be a lesson; cheap PSU's cost lives Neutral
