Get with the times mate, it's not been fashionable to hate Steam for years and it most certainly doesn't suck. It USED to...

Not sure I'm going to bother with this. Played the original to death, and it's priced a little too steep IMO. If it was a tenner then I might reconsider, but with the SS games you either love them or hate them so getting my mates to buy it as well may be a tall order. And no Croteam, I'm not going to pirate it. I'm waiting patiently for SS3 Very Happy

It's a nice revival of Ep1 and Ep2 (Available separately of course.) but they don't add much aside from the improvements offered via Serious Engine 3 or what it's called, some additional content apparently like new secrets and the Ugh-Zhan stuff (Uploaded earlier along with the NCF's which are usually requested but in some other thread.)

Around 1.8GB and Ep2 is better than the first as it's much more varied, finished it quite quick though but multiplayer keeps it active and there's two patches out already it seems. Smile
(Not uploaded as there's no release out for some reason like DRM or what it might be, updates will probably be included whenever there is a release.)

I know, I'm old fashioned Crying or Very sad

Seriously, the issue I have with steam is the speed... don't know why but it always goes like 40-80 k/sec on my line... I remember it took me less to download the FULL Lost Planet game from torrent than it was taking steam to download the latest patches to update the original game installed from disk...

It's a nice remake. Played through the singleplayer campaign in co-op with some others.
But the problem is, there aren't really much servers Sad

They're going to release DLC in the following days, so a Skidrow release including the DLC is likely..

• Fixed a missed check resulting in a camera spinning. This won't happen again if you restart your current level or use some savegame from earlier areas at the same level.
• Thanks to volunteers for their savegames!

I've quick-tested level 5 and it seems fixed now. Anybody can test level 11?

Huh.. I wasn't expecting the DLC to be this... http://www.seriouszone.com/cms/news.php?action=view&newsid=1805

It simply combines both games into one (meaning it simply moves the campaigns and multiplayer maps of SS HD TFE to SS HD TSE, while making it possible for the first time to play the TFE's multiplayer maps with TSE's multiplayer modes).

It'll be free for those that own both games (as it should be) while it'll cost 10$ for those that do not own TFE (which is how much TFE costs, so you could say that it's free in this case too).

edit I should note that the XBLA version has received considerably less support Cool

There was talk on the forums of people wanting DLC just for a few multiplayer skins

Both Encounters are great games but don't try playing Serious Sam 2 after finishing them, it's just horrible what they did to the series, gets a bit better later in the game but it's a huge letdown
