For reals, told everyone I was moving and would be away for a while, not my fault this time and gave fair warning! Imma go ahead and hop up on my "America, Fuck yeah!" soap box here for a moment and say what i've experienced so far
I am now living in Texas, home of the YWEEEE HAWWW, and it is awesome. The stereotypes of Texas are generally ridiiculous and the people who live here are probably the most accepting and kind of any people who I have met across the United States. While there is heavy crime like any large metropolitan area, and heavy racism in the very low density areas. With that said, 80-90% of the people I have met are incredibly kind and will walk up to you to spark a conversation, or go out of thier way to help you do something with a simple, "pay it forward" when you say thank you. It's a huge contrast to what I expected.
In Virginia, a fair potion of the people who lived in my area were from, or had some mental tie to the "NoVA" area which is Northern Virginia ( DC, etc...) where the general policy is to keep your head down and not bother people, if you did bother people they were likely to think they were better than you and just give you the cold shoulder or were too good to even acknowlege you existed.
Today, I work at a major cloud hosting company, and am extremely happy! About to move out of a long term hotel into a 3 bedroom house, something i'd never expected to be able to afford on my very nice salary. I can give my Mother the opportunity to retire and live in peace until she wishes to either visit Valhalla or do something else, and have money left over to goodies.
Once I get out of this hotel I will return and with a drunken Vengeance, I will make fart, poop, vagina, and possibly some jokes about how much of an asshole some of you are I miss you all, and as proof that i'm not just being lazy, check out my current intertubes speed below!
Yeah site actually loads a lot faster than I thought it would actually...didn't actually try. Think it loads faster there than It did on my fast internet.. Now I have something to do in between work clients
