Pixel Cup Soccer 17 is an arcade retro style soccer game. A dynamic arcade game with a fast paced gameplay. Just the fun part of soccer!
Pixel Cup Soccer 17 features great pixel art and soundtracks that evoke nostalgia of the glory days of the 80’s and 90’s arcade games.
Move, pass, and shoot the ball to victory! You will learn to play in one minute, but it takes much longer to master it. The simple controls enable a rich set of features such as charging and aiming your shots, directing your corner kicks and throw-ins, shooting lobs, dashing, and more.
Play single player (player VS computer), two players (player VS player), or Party Mode (in Competitions). Pixel Cup Soccer currently supports local multiplayer only. Online multiplayer will be added with your support!

Not really a fan of the PES or FIFA games, but this looks rather appealing to me.

there is a rls on that russian forum and it works
Game per default uses an optional CRT filter (aka scanlines everywhere).
Also has a very intrusive tutorial system, which just paused my game and forced me to do a new action (like passing, shooting or tackling).
Will switch to a gamepad now and try it more.

- Too easy to score. Also just had a bug or something, that made my guys just shoot whenever I got the ball and they actually scored... my defense that is... just shot over 70% of the field and over the goalie. Seriously just hold the shoot button until your guy shoots and it's likely a goal!
- The goalie is too weak in general
- Passing a falling ball seems broken, because you may just switch players instead
- you don't control your keeper when he gets the ball... so random long pass it is
- you can change the game speed, but i haven't tested that
I think this game may need some tweaking to be good

This game only uses 2 buttons. One for shooting, the other one for passing, lobs, through passes and controlled shots. To pass you press shortly, for lobs you hold the button a bit, for through passes you need to hold it longer. Passing/lobs vs controlled shots depends on your aim supposedly. I don't think I like this at all. In the current state of the game this doesn't matter though, as I don't see why you would need any clever tricks if you score from your own goal
