Sennheiser!
And the Asus Vulcan is pretty decent.
Beyerdynamic's and Astro's (very popular in the Americas) are very good too from what I've been told.
Btw, since you want it for the 360. Why don't you jump on the Tritton Swag-Wagon. All the popular couchwarriors I see in the media are using these.

I was serious. Maybe there are more experienced people for that matter since you've said that you need one with an amplifier because the volume is too low on the 360. Sounds like a real problem to me. Maybe there is a workaround or fix for that which doesn't involve the need of a new headset.

FiiO makes amazing equipment for the price. Here's both my FiiO's hooked up to my Sennheisers
This is basically an external sound card and also an amp. I use this all the time.
FiiO E7 DAC/AMP
I bought the AMP dock thinking i would have more use for it but my Senn's don't need the power to use this so it's more for aesthetics now as well as convenience. I might have use for it eventually
FiiO E9 Amp Dock for E7 DAC
And the cans:
Sennheiser HD-280
Just because they have the name Sennheiser doesn't mean they haven't thought of the guys who need something a bit cheaper. These are supposed to be really good too especially for what you can get them for:
Sennheiser HD 202
Next to Sennheiser in quality is Audio Technica:

I have spent a week or more reading reviews for headsets.
I haven't looked at audiophile stuff, so excluding them high end headphones, the best wired is the ASUS Vulcan ANC, and the best wireless is the Logitech G930's.
Ryzen 5 5600, ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II, Corsair Vengeance RGB RT 32GB 3600MHz C16, Zotac RTX 3060 Ti, Corsair RMx Series RM750x. AOC AGON AG324UX - 4K 144Hz 1ms GTG IPS FreeSync KVM

Go the audiophile route and stick with either Sennheiser or Audio Technica. They're the top dogs of headphone market and they provide something for everyone's price range.
Also crocker, FiiO does make quite a few small amps you could use. Best suited for you would be the FiiO E6 Amp
My buddy has one and plugs by using USB. Battery life is a bit skimpy but I'm sure you couldn't game long enough to run the battery out. Just make sure you charge it after you play.
Spend a bit more and git a lil bit beefier FiiO E11

Also if you're worried about a mic, this thing has made itself pretty worthy in the audiophile world.
Zalman clip on mic
Don't sacrafice quality for something subpar marketed to gamers to catch your attention when you can get something quality and make it worth your money. Creative makes some of the biggest piece of garbage headphones and sound cards around. However it's marketed torwards gaming so people always get caught up in it. The drivers (speakers) they used are generally crap so they can make the profit on building cheap headphones. They usually have a really shitty sound stages (basically how far apart the sounds in relation to what's going on in the game/song are from each other.) A better sound stage will appear as if the sound is where it's located when you're looking at the screen VS just blasting sound through the speaker. With music you want there to be distance between the instruments. Better headphones and something like my FiiO DAC are great at doing this rather than having everything sound like it's all together.

This is also another option for you, which is actually what I currently do, it's a lot more comfortable that it looks.
Plantronics makes some of the best mics around hands down. I have this mic:
Plantronics Xbox Mic
The thing is so small it's almost weightless but the sound is crystal clear on both ends. Also the way it holds onto the outpart of your ear you can put those headphones over your ears and it'll cover the mic. I do this because I don't like having my voices coming out of the same speakers as my audio. This way both sounds are perfectly separated. And since the mic is controled through the xbox gamepad, the audio part can hook up to whatever source you use like a receiver or an amp or whatever you use.

I don't care about mic. And I know about Fiio equipement. I would better like to get better new headphones than to pay like 50-60% of the headset price for fiio amp.
I will look up the prices and reviews for stuff mentioned above. Meanwhile I am stillw aiting for opinions on tactic360:P It have amp in it ... I think

Please stop referring to a headset as headphones, because they're not. Something like the HD202 is already way ahead of almost every headset and most certainly that tactic 360 thing. Do you have an amplifier of any kind already? Because HD202 + AMP + separate random 5 EUR mic will already sound better than that Sigma thing on its own.

Bose and quality shouldn't be used in the same sentence. They're the Apple of sound. Think they're awesome audio but in reality they're just garbage that old timers from the 80's can't get over when they didn't have any competition. Same shitty paper cones they've always used with subpar sound. Hell not only can they not get THX certified but the airforce canceled their contract with Bose since they couldn't do shit right.
Anywho, wizarD I meant source as like desktop computer, laptop, ipod, phone etc.

Don't be so audiophille:p I have mk88 right now and I think they sound decent.
I am sure sound blaster tactic360 will sound at least as my current set if not better.
There is tactic3d and tactic360 models.
3d comes with thx sound card dongle but I wouldnt use it anyway.
360 version is identical to sigma except for short headphones cable and added amplifier for use with 360 which is what I need.
Those are top sound blaster wired headphones. Creative never failed me. I am not sure if that amplifier can be also used on pc bit if not ,I will just use the headphones on pc with cable extender...
I have about 90usd to spend btw. Not a cent more. It is gaming, music and overall use pc and 360(that is why amp is needed or loud headphones). I am looking and looking but I really can't find anything better.
I want big overear buds
Skin or skinlike but not that fur material at all.
Deep bass.
Loud.
Tactic3d/360 sigma have all of those. 50mm drivers
3080, ps5, lg oled

Don't knock Bose's older speakers. My bro's still got a whole AKAI setup hooked up to some Bose speakers - all of which my dad bought for a ridiculous amount of money back in the very early 80's (somewhere around 2500 guilders - hard to convert that to USD or EUR, but probably somewhere around 2500 EUR or $3000 with inflation anyway). Neither speaker has had anything replaced bar the fabric on one of them and they still sound fucking amazing. I'd have to go over to my bro's to check the actual type, but they still sound better than most crap you can buy today (including Bose now).
KillerCrocker wrote: | Tactic3d/360 sigma have all of those. 50mm drivers |
You're set on them anyway, so go buy them KC
None of us are audiophiles (well SpykeZ is), but all of us have also heard how much better real headphones sound. No headset, especially not with a built-in "amp" is going to come close to what a good pair of headphones will sound like; and for 90 USD, you can get some pretty decent ones. Sennheiser's in that area will already sound much better.
As for your amplifier problems, I'd still route the sound from the 360 through a simple stereo set, proper sound system or heck - your PC. That way you at least have some control over what it does with the input signal.

ok. After some testing. When amp usb is connected to 360 and sound output from 360 to amp, the sound is fantastic and veeery loud. Normally I would have to keep headphones maxed out and game volume level on 360 would be kinda quiet/mild. Now I have to lower volume on headphones. It sound great.
As it seems I can't use amp on a pc. When I do I get plenty of noise. I've tried different usb slots or even usb slot from xbox while sound is coming frompc and still nothing. I guess that onboard realtek is shit.
thankfully headphones works on pc without amp. Plugged via analog cable. The sound is fantastic just as on console then. no electronic noise. So i will keep the amp for console and on pc use them normal.
The only minus is that in this configuratin I don't have inline volume control. it is on the amp.
I am just managing volume in windows. My g11 have volume wheel and it's first time I've ever used it:P It works so that problem is also solved.
