I'm looking for a noob-friendly RPG game. I haven't played anything from that genre (except Fable III), but now the time has come. Very Happy
I prefer something with no boring dialogues (or at least not too much), and not very long at all. Rolling Eyes

Stick to Fable, it's your kind of game.
Anything else will feel too hard and you'll quit after the first 15 minutes because there are no huge arrows pointing to where you need to go.

Good RPG? Little dialogue and not too long? That's an oxymoron if I ever heard one. Very Happy

Start off with Wizardry, Ultima and Might & Magic series - that'll keep you occupied for a while. You want easy? Fuck easy, jump right in to the deep end of the pool.

Why a silly Role Playing Game when you already have Black Ops 2?

It has upgradable guns, XP points, no boring dialogues, pick 'n play gameplay, strong narrative with 'vital' choice-> consequence system, and you also play the role of badass soldiers protecting the best country in the world from evil forces.

Well what the hell do you want? Sometimes, I'm not sure if you really are trolling or just...... urgh ... facepalm indeed Facepalm You want a game that's part of a genre you don't like the trappings of, so what DO you want? RPGs predominantly have plenty of talking, huge longevity and usually aren't considering newbie games. Go play some classic SNES aRPGs if you want, stuff like Secret of Mana where there is 90% action and 10% talking, which you can finish in about 10-15 hours or so.

I don't want to finish them in one sitting, something around 20 hours perfect.

Because I'm honestly not sure if this is a serious thread or not. Here... let's try the reverse;

Hey guys, I'm looking for a newbie-friendly football game! Can anyone recommend me one? Oh.. hopefully not one that involves balls, half-time or any of that boring opponent stuff Rolling Eyes

See what I mean? You ask for a game from part of a genre and then stipulate games without the very trappings of that genre. RPGs have (boring!) dialogue, they're usually pretty damned long and most of them require some semblance of skill to play .. even the old 16bit aRPGs, in fact; ESPECIALLY those.

Diablo 3. Very little talking, all of it skippable, and you'll breeze through the click-click-click game in about 20hrs. You'll have to buy it though, I'm afraid, it hasn't been cracked yet. Failing that, there's not much else that fits the "no/or very little dialogue" and "not very long" requirements. aRPGs that don't have much dialogue, or stuff you can skip (like Fable or Sacred 2), can run 30-40 hours and then some. Story-heavy games are generally cRPGs and can be done anywhere from 15-50 hours, depending on the game.

Try Divinity 2 Ego Draconis/Flames of Vengeance, lots of dialogue but it's all skippable -- and you'll get around 20 hours out of it since you're skipping the (boring!) dialogue.

Oh and since you played Fable 3, go play Fable TLC instead. Better than Fable 3 in every possible way, even visually (since there's none of that blur/vaseline bullshit all over the screen), it's a gem of a game.

Yup yup, Hellgate is another one I recommend - next to no dialogue outside of quest descriptions (click-click-click those away) and you'll finish the story acts in no time, 15-20hrs or so.

I think any newer RPG with full voice-over will suit you well.
I mean, it's no more boring them watching a movie.

Unlike those older RPGs without voice-overs using wall of text to tell the story, that is like reading a book.

P.S.
Personally, I prefer both, as long as its good RPG, but I can understand impatient generation that wants everything "chewed up" for them...
