Im really into Avant-garde music, with some progressive rock influence. Im looking to expand my horizons a bit. Though I like mainstream structured music, I also enjoy music with unpredictable structures, and time changes. Heres what I like.

Zappa
Captain Beefheart, Trout Mask Replica is a national treasure!
Buckethead
John Zorn
Soft Machine
Brand X, more fusion than anything
Ion Dissonance
King Crimson
Also Jazz with off the wall horns drums and bass riffing.

Check it out, and if you know of anything in these realms let me know.
Nothing is too weird, and the more off the wall and unpredictable the better.

If you like Zappa and Buckethead, you could try Devin Townsend. His stuff varies between slightly weird and very weird.
