Alan Wake 2 has been written into reality and it’s coming your way in 2023 for PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X.
The game turns up the level of dread as our very first dive into the survival horror genre, so expect a chilling experience with familiar psychological horror elements.
Those points surely must be satire. I also especially love how "competition" from Epic removed choice for certain games and increased prices because 3rd party sites could not get keys and compete with each other. Certainly a big blow to the evil monopolistic Valve who evolved and made steam better each year of its existence, despite the absence of real competition
I especially loved how many publishers and Sony just straight up avoided releasing games on PC
Even Microsoft would have said nope to that if they hadn't been able to force the Microsoft Store on us
Shame that the emergence of other launchers allowed publishers to negotiate better terms with Valve and made the platform seem more viable
Steams monopoly grants them 30% revenue of all games sold. Sure, epic is as expensive. But with more platforms, there will be competiton and in the end prices will drop.
Likewise, companies like blizzard using their own store: sure, it's for profit, they make enough money allready and it's not affecting game prices atm (Blizzard even more expensive), in the end it benefits gaming. If Blizzard earns more money with their games, and sure most of it will go to shareholders, in the end, it will be good voor game development cause it's easier to invest in new releases since they can expect a better profit margin.
Well... at least it's not a remake remake like MGS, or a totally-not-so-repetitive-that-might-as-well-be-a-remake like the new crapssassins belief.
So congrats remedy, you win. Even if it is for just showing up with an actual sequel

something about that trailer that looks like a very cheap game, with the exception of wakes face, the other characters look bad, wtf is that hair model on the woman? same engine as control but graphics look worse

At least we can see Alan Wick at the end of the trailer.
