well i have just played for a hour or so, but my first impression is WoW, this is a cool game, u can do a lot of different things.
And the web swinging are really super when u get used to it, its like GTA but u are a good guy and u dont drive a car. u are netswinging instead.

yeah, definatly worth it. This game is awesome so far. Like jOnTe said, it's a lot like GTA in that you have main "To Do" missions to advance the story, but you can also just swing around the city helping random people who need it.

The web slinging is amazing, there's tons of different combinations you can do. Unlike the first one (and all other Spiderman games), you MUST be near a taller building if you want to shoot off a web swingline, no more "web attaches to a magical cloud in the sky" swinging.

There's plenty of neat tricks in fighting as well. If you sprint and punch an enemy, you knock them high into the air, then if you jump, you can continue the beatdown in mid-air. My favorite attack so far has to be where shoot an enemy with a web line and swing him around, hitting other enemies, then you can slam the webbed enemy straight into the ground.

You can buy upgrades (faster swing speed, different attacks, etc) so there's no shortage of different spidey moves. Also, spiderman has his HUMOR back in this game, he's often chatting and taunting while beating the crap out of baddies, like spidey should. One other example is when you're swinging low to the ground people walking around take notice and someone yells "you're the man, spiderman!" and spiderman yells back "no, YOU'RE the man!". Little things like that really make this a true spiderman game.

i have the xbox version. the web swinging is totally different. there isn't the "web-swing-points" in the xbox version. and trust me, the xbox version is way better than the pc version.

They have done the PC version kiddie like,,,

Strange move I think, because the Consols should have been better for that purpose...
If they have chosen two different versions Confused

The average console owner is now over 18 years of age so it wasn't a bad move. Lets face the facts, Consoles bring in ALOT more money then PC Games now. We will continue to see consoles get favorable treatment till PC Gaming rises once again.

Yepp,, but I still think gamers on Pc are older than the average age of the consol gamers..

I mean that it is still a lot of parents who buy their kids a consol instead of a computer,, or?

I know alot of parents who have kids who play PC while they played NFL or Racing games on the Console. There are MANY more adult oriented (things someone older then 12 would know about) games on the console now...

I bet that Consol gamers are younger than PC gamers,,, Very Happy

And I am older than 12, and have own game consols back to the old fine Spectrum and Amiga,, Rolling Eyes

Kiddie games on the PS2 have always been alot of... better adults games on Xbox

I felt the same way at first, now that I've played for about 10 hours I am much better at it and swinging is much more fun than it was before.

Don't worry, the more important scenes, like Mary Jane dying and Harry as the Green Goblin aren't included.

I know MJ doesn't die because of an interview stating that she is in part 3 and it would be too far off from the comic since she doesnt die and Harry as the GG wont happen till either part 4 since they still gotta bring back the original GG. Im not stupid, The movie isnt That far off from the comics...

OK, don't take is seriously. Wink I was just joking. Wink As a matter of fact I have already seen Spider-Man 2 (press screening) and it rocks! You wont be disappointed. And the game indeed gives away some storyline.

completed this in 9.5 hours Very Happy kinda short, the ending spoils the film but i'm still gonna go see the film for sure it looks amazing Cool although the game carries on after the credits and to get to the next chapter you need 50,000 points i aint gonna bother though, seen the ending and credits so i'll class this one as completed even though it reckons anly 49% is done but what the heck Laughing
