Very nice, thought with their new game announced that this was put on the backburner.
Now I just hope we don't get a lead character who won't die if she doesn't take a selfie

The first impact with the game was disorienting indeed, it was like discovering a new alien planet inhabited by bizarre lifeforms. Getting welcomed by wowsers, amazeballs and peoplebrahs telling each other to go fuck their selfies nearly made me want to set the computer on fire. Thankfully things got progressively much much better, the characters somehow grew on me and ended up enjoying the ride
Adventures of Captain Spirit... just finished it. Hmm, it doesn't really fit in any classic/common genre ("A Day In Life"-genre?). Most of all it felt very uninteresting, like watching a slow sunday afternoon family drama on telly while curing a hangover.
In Fact, "The Awesome Adventures" is using the exact same engine... and it's just me or the style is closely to "Before The Storm"? which make it looks like Unity engine.. I think they decided to change the graphics style.
Random observations after skimming through the vid:
Environment looks pretty good but the character models are pretty bad.
And again we see a friend of the opposite gender who is secretly in love with the lead character. Unless they introduce a twist and make her gender fluid.
Lead character is not a gary stu and in fact is pretty angsty and can be called 'sir cuss a lot'.
The guy and girl at the start have the same chest size.
The kid brother will be pretty annoying.
Seems like the kid brother has telekinesis and the older brother aka player will be charged will guiding him.
Is anyone playing this? I haven't heard shit about this in any forum, news website, or whatever. Ouch, sales must have dropped way down.
