Not so much hard as the random number generator fucking cheats its ass off - the AI itself was pretty useless heh.

They've solved a lot in the latest patches. Chaos Edition still needs some bugged squashed, though, but generally it's bloody active....

Ive played it since the early 90ties (with huge gaps tho) and the AI (with modded difficulty) cant even get to score a goal unless I play against the Elves and I dont pay attention.

Pick a team that suits your way of play - as a newbie I would pick the Orcs and smash my way to victory. Read a guide on them and BB in general and kick ass.

Yeah, the lack of actual tutorials can be disheartening, but you can find some good ones over the webz.

The community it's generally helpful, maybe because it's a niche game.

It may be a niche game, but it has a huge following. Try a site like http://fumbbl.com/ also, thats where the hardcore people hang out on the net.

It's easy to play with the big guys. Orcs, dwarves, you know the tank persons Very Happy

Right now, i'm trying to make a team of winning Amazons and a team of dark elves.
Hopefully, i'll find some good strategies on the site that Doh! kindly provided.

Highly addictive. I reckon that. I kind of missed playing the 1995 version, as i wasn't much in warhammer or american football back then (still not being into american football, though i find it enjoyable in small dosage). But somewhere down the road i fell in love with the Warhammer Universe and Blood Bowl video game was fun. Too fun to pass. So i have the recent one on my computer since the release in one form or another (planning to upgrade to chaos edition and replace my pirate version and my original legendary edition).

Have a very good mate with which i still spend some Warhammer week-ends (both Fantasy and 40k boardgame versions). What i can say, Game Workshop doesn't make a half arsed job, Relic and Cyanide did a great job on popularizing Warhammer and i got myself in trouble a few times, overspending on the pesky little figurines Very Happy

This is in addition to a proper sequel to BB apparently. Word has it a new addition of the board game is due at the end of the year, so it seems likely BB2 will be tied to that. Although it is still being made by Cyanide, so I am tempering my expectations about how good it will be. I hope they ditch Gamebryo at least.
