As much as I liked their mice and keyboards, looks like I won't be ever buying a product from them from here on out.

I know they have a bad rep here but for whatever reason, they treat their US customers like kings so I've never had a problem.

We invented onboard memory for gaming mice many years ago and called it Synapse to allow gamers to bring their profiles with them on the go. However, we realized that we ran into another issue where we had to keep increasing the amount of memory onboard to provide for more storage and this resulted in higher and higher prices for gamers.

Hom much memory does a mouse need to store profiles? Seems ridiculous to me.

Quote:
Synapse 2.0 is NOT DRM. Our products work perfectly well out of the box without Synapse 2.0. Synapse 2.0 provides ADDITIONAL functionality of almost limitless memory in the cloud as opposed to taking away functionality (which is what DRM is).

This of course is moronic. "Our mice work peerfectly without our SW, you just need it to get access to the functionality you pay for". Comedic.

Well, according to some of the posts, regular user needs 128k while hardcore gamer needs 1mb, and well memory is frigging cheap these days...and what mouse use? flash memory?

Really?!?

How many profiles does a "true hardcore gamer" need?
I've got three and only use two of them...

If it really requires internet connection to use the mouse software, then LOL. Laughing

Meh only 1, once you are used to mouse movements, it's the same in every game, don't need shitty profiles for it.
