I bought the game and I need to wait another 1.5 days or so to play. Meanwhile it seems everyone is playing the game already. Without doubt launching the game on different days in different parts of the world is very stupid. It only encourages piracy. Nevertheless you may have bought a copy and used a crack to play it anyway, which is fine I guess.

i bought two copies. one a legit key from steam. the other a 'key' for under 40$ 
also it doesn't encourage piracy. piracy encourages piracy. if you had no idea what piracy was (much like the other poor sobs out there) you wouldn't think of pirating it. and if you're new to piracy and only download mp3s and movies and never downloaded a game or have the know how you still wouldn't do it. because you'd get banned from sites like this

Too expensive.
I have no problems buying games, but for affordable or downright cheap prices (them ruski keys  )
The only cases where I'll gladly make an exception are the ones that I know will last ~80hrs per playthrough, usually TES titles and the "new" Fallout games.
Bought Skyrim for 40€ at it's release and I regret NOTHING!

Going to pirate this one. Already spent too much money on games these days, but I do pirate ALL the games for derpbox.
I will probably buy Fifa Manager but for the rest of the year I will pirate every single game and I love it.
I would probably buy cheap ruskie key for $44 is too much, and even XCom is region locked sigh. I don't mind paying $15 for cheap ruskie keys but no way will pay full retail price.

You should use a VPN Iconized (I agree with you though)
I never buy games at full price because I can't afford it, especially these days. Hence I'm pirating and playing pretty much everything, including this one.
But I will buy it sooner or later, even it that means that I have to wait for the Steam Sales 2015.

the initial sales aren't too promising, but I hope it picks up. fps/rpg hybrids and first person sneakers are probably my favorite genre that I want to keep seeing.

I bought it, constant rice in prices (Now that 60 USD/EUR is near standard.) isn't really helping though I guess it will continue to rise even further.
