Keep in mind that it's a beta. It has a few issues and he made it public to fix them.

another of those fake HD mods that are nothing more then ... let's fuck up the original concept art and replace every shit texture for similar looking that are in 43247083274572398423847892374893248923748238497238947328478923748923748923747238947923847892374892374982379x14e3243284092308947230943284928309480238409 then try to fix the existing textures

ehmm can you go to the doctor and please check your eyes or do that find 20 things that don't match thing ...
replacing every texture its not the marketing stupid term for Higher Definition
fix the existing texture not fuck it up
then it should look like this

For me, the previous version had many textures I didn't like their design, and preferred Crytek's even if they were lower resolution.

So having the exact same texture with higher resolution and without anything extra would be my choice, I can't see trolling there. Apparently consolotis didn't like it either.
I guess that is the reason why I never stuck with a texture mod for minecraft, all of them improve it for the worse

I guess no one likes being called a troll especially when stating a valid opinion. Hfriskis troll posts are way to easy to spot guys, you just liked the shiny new textures too much, to even consider that one could not like them because of other reasons

so now leo can call this game  ? and he can walk around and zoom in onto every tiny insignificant thing and say "golly gosh these textures are fantastic" and give the game a proper 10/10 score.

In contrary to what you wrote here, I do not base my definition of someone being a troll on how he behaved in 5 or 50 other threads.
You called him a troll for posting his opinion in this very thread, in a non troll and constructive way, thus your accusations are false. I do not defend hfric as general forum poster or say that he never trolled. But here he didn't troll and you still called him troll, just because hfric.
How pathetic do you think I am to defend someone just because he shares the same views as I? By the amount of bullshit I hear about my religion, half the board would've been banned if I were to be such a narrow minded person that moderates upon his own world view, yet I always keep a distant perspective
