I'm no fan of Mitt Romney, in fact my despise for Mitt Romney equals my despise for Obama, and this is a tremendous advantage for Romney, considering that he hasn't had the change to be directly responsible for the deaths of some hundreds of thousands.
Still, all Obama is revealing with this little"diagnostic" is that he is unable to conceive action outside the domain of government.
ie: if someone is in favor of something but does not support legislation with regards the issue at hand, then that someone must be an ignorant fool...
That was ALL Obama was mocking in that video, and to be honest, I think that above all else, he mocked himself the most with his own dualistic daemon and his inability to rationalize past it.
They're running for office dude, policy is supposed to decide that, not empty words.
It is one thing to idealize that "women should have access to contraceptive care", it is another to support legislation that your employer should be the one to pay for it.
This is just one, amongst many examples, but that is what I was referring to.
The fact that Romney personally idealizes something is one thing, but when Obama makes the logical leap from idealization into his own interpretation of legislation, that is when he becomes an ignorant and a hypocrite.
Considering the last example, about contraceptive care, Romney could very well argue that such burden shouldn't fall in the pockets of the employers but rather the tax payers, for example.
