So I thought I'd treat myself to a Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel (ebay, dirt cheap), and am pretty impressed with it - proper force feedback, 900o lock, all fun.

Apart from pCars, Corsa and the other unfinished games, are there any GOOD racing games, with well implemented force feedback, gameplay and y'know, 'Feel' ?

I could waste gigs of bandwidth downloading every game in existence, but I'd rather fall back on the combined wisdom of the Church of Hump.

Very Happy

Actually I want to give that a try, if not for just a nice relaxing cruise down the best highways in the world.

Or something like that.

Driver SF is not working well at all with wheel. I tried it as soon as I got my G27 - its terrible. If I remember right there's no manual option either...

No Laughing

@ Kaltern: Shift 1, RBR, Shift 2, RBR, TDU 1 (not 2), RBR, LFS, RBR, TOCA, RBR, GRID 1

Oh, and RBR.

Some of these are pretty arcade, but are enjoyable for what they are, others are pretty hardcore sims so take your pick.

Also, RBR.

Just stay away from later Codemaster and EA racers (Shift is exception). They have horrible wheel support and have physics and controls that are tailored for gamepads.

Try Assetto Corsa. With proper wheel it's a joy to drive. It has super advanced physics model, but it's also more forgiving that many other sims.

Shift 2 with mods is AMAZING, but its highly possible to encounter problems with the wheel. Its possible the game not to respond entirely to your movement, most of the time leading to understeering. Once you sort this shit out you have one KICKASS game. Just download these

and you are set. (you can go just with the community patch, since you may like "spaceship class" cars)

For a chill driving: first TDU. I mean, the joy of just driving around Oahu...That's priceless. Plus, you can put in-game your own playlist straight from winamp or whatever you use instead of that....

Richard Burns Rally (only decent rally game made imo) and Porsche 2000. NFS2 is good too but it's very, very olddated. That's about it in terms of good racers for me.

Porsche is my favorite racing game of all times, the handling was great, the graphics were amazing (back in the day Smile) and best of all, it put a smile on your face while playing it.

Too bad all current racing titles suck balls, especially the handling. Nothing ever came as close as Porsche with the right amount arcade and the right amount of realism.

The ones I recently had fun with: all the older simbin games, Asseto Corsa and Project Cars... I have not used a wheel on these tho. Had to get rid of my glorious Logitech one when I moved to Sweland. Sad

Last one I played with wheel was NFS Shift, ETS2... I know ETS2 isn't racing, but give it a go. It's really good Very Happy
