(Second one isn't cracked yet, Ali213 had clones of both of them since a while back but it's only now that Skidrow cracked one of them.)
I guess the first one is more arcade like and the second one a bit more like a traditional hunting game, still probably not much of a simulator though.
EDIT: Also Buddha.dll so it'll crash or just hang/stall on Windows 8 but that's nothing new.
(Windows 98 / ME compatibility makes it work though.)
EDIT: Yeah you kinda shoot about a hundred or so animals during the first proper level alone, it's quite a massacre.

Ditto here, game installed and skidrow crack applied. Run game spinning icon in top left hand corner for about 2 seconds then back to desktop. Running Win7 64bit.

Did you set up the registry path correctly (Or does the installer do that for you? I unpacked it manually so I did it by hand.) that's one of the reasons it might not work, also is loc.txt in the game folder set up properly.

" A bit stumped here, I generally have no problems running any games and keep a very clean system so this is a strange one..or i'm being unbelievably stupid and missing something really simple.
Oops forgot to mention, i don't see a loc.txt file in the game folder anywhere so it was not automatically created.

(Or what other localization you might prefer, ENU, FRA, ITA, DEU, ESP)
This shouldn't be needed but I also created a steam_appid.txt file in the game folder with the number 218860 in it.
Also make sure the redistributable stuff is up to date, DirectX June 2010, VC++ Redist 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2012 (I believe this game only really needs 2008 but I keep them all maintained.) and if needed .NET 4.5 (Replaces 4.0 entirely) and 3.5 (Since 4.0 does not replace 3.0)
Can't think of anything else, OS compatibility with Windows 98 / ME mode is only used for Windows 8
Oh right make sure the anti-virus isn't blocking or has already quarantined Buddha.dll
(Also if the game didn't properly start you need to use ctrl+alt+del / task manager to shut down dh_2013.exe manually first before trying again.)
JBeckman thanks again for the quick responses, no go mate, created the ENU entry in the reg and in the local loc.txt file, steam+appid etc. My redistributes etc are all up to date as well as my Nvidia drivers and just wont run. Installed it quickly as a test on my DELL XPS 17 and exactly the same problem. Pretty stumped here for the moment but will keep thinking about a solution.
EDIT: Ensured that buddha.dll is not quarantine first time around as that has caught me in the past too

I have exactly the same problem as you "werewolf07" and have tried everything you guys have posted here with no positive result, have never had this problem before with any game?
The game (For whatever weird and stupid reason.) puts the config file and such under " C:\ProgramData\Saved Games\Dangerous Hunts 2013 " so maybe if you have UAC enabled and since this is a protected folder you could try to right click on the game exe and set it to "launch as administrator" in case it's a permission problem?
(Just another suggestion but if UAC is suppressed or otherwise disabled the above won't make a difference.)
EDIT: Yeah that below there was kinda how the game made me feel while playing it.
(Maybe minus the flag, can still be fun as a shooter though but it's not really hunting for animals when they charge straight at you in droves.)
EDIT: Heh, this game has boss battles.
(20 - 25 rifle shots to fell that thing? hah.)
