NZ has a pretty tough immigration policy, you need points based on education and if you get a job in one of the "needed" areas. You also get more points for being under 25, and have perfect health. Also if you have a partner or relatives there help.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

Well, shit. How about pretty nice health and 29 and no relatives... Is there any way to look up what the "needed" areas are?

Yeah there is, I used to have a huge link-archive when I was gonna move there. But I just got fed up with all the requirements, there are a lot of them. Health checkup, lung X-ray, recent language test, university degrees within needed fields, preferably working history and a job prior to relocating as well as references.
You also might not be let in if you have a BMI over a certain number and if you're too old. Oh yeah, do I mention that if you're from "certain" parts of the world they're even more strict.

For the love of VISA I told you the easiest way to immigrate anywhere is marriage, I'm pretty sure you can charm an old rich kiwi lady.

If you're in IT then it should be pretty easy. Hell, I recruit IT and I'm getting jobs pitched to me to work out in Oz/NZ all the time.

I was looking into moving to Australia. While it's not NZ, those two countries have many similarities in requirements and procedures. Check out http://www.bobinoz.com/how-to-move-to-australia/ for an interesting reading.
