This is the type of game I want to see more of.

Gameplay

You must excavate an underground colony to escape the hostile surface of the world. Mine minerals for construction, build rooms to house, feed and entertain your colonists and defenses to protect them from dangerous wildlife.

Research sources of power, water and food. Explore the surface and perform science to produce the technology you need to survive your new home.
[/i]

I've pledged and I hope it gets the funding it needs. Seems to be already in alpha.

"£110000 Extra detail mode for super high res displays. (2,880 x 1,800+)"

Is it just me that finds that stretch goal a bit odd? Surely you would want to tease people with something everyone will have use of?

Then again, I guess it's not really that different from linux support or localization... but still strikes me as somewhat odd.

Thats the stretch goals. Just something they will add to the game once the initial pledge is achieved. It's just a goal to aim for which gives incentive for more pledges or upping your pledge.

Most kickstarter projects have stretch goals.

i imagine that by default, its like minecraft. you are just there and what you do is the 'story'. i think this goal means 'if we get enough money we will hire a writer and spend the time integrating a narrative into the otherwise free roaming gameplay'.

looks and sounds great to me.

BTW. You might not like TotalBiscuit, but his video helped make the push.

It's even the topic of the latest ks update.

Hmm looks a LOT like a sci-fi clone of the 'evil genius' game.

Ill keep an eye on it..I loved evil genius.
I still poke around in it from time to time.
