The whole idea, use a linux distro as host OS and through virtualization run a game on Windows. Why would I like to do this? I don't have much love for MS. In order to pull this off you need Virtualization software that allows direct access to certain hardware like the GPU. At the moment only Xen seems to be capable of this.

That's an interesting approach, gonna take a look at the article in more detail later.
But now then.. Why not Wine? (cedega & crossover look outdated)
Altho sure it's not gonna work with everything tho & u're gonna lose fps.. One of the main reasons I've stayed on Win.

Latest Wine + Winetricks + stable GPU drivers often do the job nicely.
