Well even before (and during) is pretty much a whole lot of nothing. He was a producer on Torment, so it's not like his contribution was actually anything that end-users would find of merit. I would think him starting a Kickstarter is going to be to get money to hire other people to do the actual work. Much like Fargo with Wasteland 2 I guess, except people have actually heard of Fargo.

I guess he's bigger in Europe/Germany where DSA (Realms of Arcania) has a huge following akin to D&D in the US.
He's promising an oldschool RPG in the vein of DSA (the working title is even Thorvalia lol), and given how awesome those games were, this is grounds for excitement.

Yeah I know of the Arkania series, but don't recall ever playing it.
