This phone has been called the HTC superphone, because it is. It comes equipped with Qualcomm's latest quadcore S4 CPU, which blends stunning performance and sips power. This is truly a next-gen processor that is the beating heart of this new HTC phone
Here are a few quick notes about this phone and what makes it special. This is the first device from HTC released in the USA to:
...feature a 5 inch, 1080p display. And if you happen to compare it to the One X, you'll see it's only slightly taller - HTC's designers did some serious magic to shrink the bezel and keep it small(ish). This is not a “phablet,” it will actually fit in your front pocket like a phone should.
...feature built-in wireless recharging (you need the power mat accessory from Verizon to use this).
...feature a massive 2 GB of RAM for even better multi-tasking and performance.
...ship natively with Andriod 4.1 (Jelly Bean)
...and it includes all the great features from the HTC One series, including Beats Audio, an amazing 8 megapixel camera with ImageSense, plus an ultra-wide angle, 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, and much more.
The DROID DNA comes with the authentic sound of Beats Audio that you’ve come to except from HTC phones. And you can pair it with a new accessory, the Beats Pill, which is a Bluetooth/NFC speaker that you can use to listen to music wirelessly and also acts as a speakerphone.
And it’s not just another black phone either, it’s gorgeous with red detailing that you would expect from a DROID. The sides of the phone have an almost sports car look, and the soft-touch back feels amazing in your hands.
Yes, this is the DROID that you’re looking for. The DROID DNA is available exclusively on Verizon in the USA and will be available in retail stores starting on Wednesday, November 21st.

I was talking to Paul about that a while ago, I don't understand the fascination with manufacturers making the screens larger like this. Who the hell wants to carry around a house brick sized phone? The Galaxy Note was bad enough and now everyone is scrambling to copy. Go back to 3.7-4" :/ Still, regardless of that, this is certainly the most attractive phone I've seen yet -- very sleek.
It's a shame that
A) It's fucking massive
B) It's US/Japan only, much like the Droid Incredibly, Evo etc. which we never got in Europe
Because the device itself looks fucking brilliant - thin, hardly any bezels; and from what I've read about IGZO, that is pretty brilliant so the display will no doubt look awesome. Oh how I wish for a 3.7-4" 720p device with these kind of specs
Now to keep my fingers crossed that i get picked on elevate (they pick 1 random member once a month to pick a free phone/tab of choice), then i'll be able to get it

Even 4'' feels awkward to me even though I have large hands. Iphone 3/4 is the perfect size. I've got an Xperia Ray myself and it's a tad bit too small.
Keep in mind that iPhones do have a slightly different aspect ratio and pretty huge bezels at the top and bottom. My Desire is 3.7" versus an iPhone 4's 3.5", but in reality that means it's almost exactly the same height (about 3mm difference) and width (about 1mm). I have fairly large hands as well (at least for a small guy, I'm only ~1.72m tall) and while 3.5-3.7" is perfect, I think 4" would be quite doable. Height wise I can touch all 4 corners pretty easy right now, without having to twist my hand; width wise I can actually still reach an extra centimeter or so with my thumbs. If I had to reach out a bit to reach the absolute opposite corner of how I'm holding my phone (i.e. top right with left hand or top left with right hand) that's something I could live with, as that's the only part of the screen I wouldn't be able to reach without twisting. Most of the action happens at the middle and bottom parts of the screen anyway
So again, give me a 4" device please, 3.5-3.7 aren't going to happen anymore methinks
Edit: saus, suggest that on the elevate forum please, I'm not the only one who doesn't want these huge refrigerator size phones again

Yeah, not at all a 'phablet' xD 5" not at all...
I'm sick of this. 4.3" Is the limit imo for what a smartphone should be. I mean, my brother in law bought S3 few days ago, and the speed of the smartphone and the look of the screen is really stunning, but it's way too big for a phone imo...
4" is like a golden middle when it comes to smartphones imo.
Plus I really don't get when ppl are: oh but you can't play games on your phone
You idiot! I play games on my computer, not on my fucking phone! I use my phone (since I got a smartphone) for calls, sms (go sms, whatsapp included), emails and facebook. That's it! I don't play games (I am avoiding the angry birds shit, it's annoying to me). Only two games I have on my phone are chess and sudoku...

did you look at the dimensions ? less than 2 cm (17mm) taller than an iphone 5 ... but about 100x better looking

Do you have any idea how much bigger TWO CENTIMETRES makes a phone? Jesus Christ...Now add 17mm onto that, such as found on the Galaxy Note;
Hurr Durr! Iz not that much bigger, lolz. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. So yes, the iPhone 5 is borderline what I'd call a comfortable pocket-sized phone, the Note is extreme and this Droid DNA is pretty much the same length as the Note, just thinner. I'm not disputing the style of the phone, it's one of the best looking devices I've seen and it has awesome hardware to back that up, but it's bordering on too damned large.
thats a galaxy note vs old iphone.. u used this picture to exagerate your point.
is there a comparison picture of the two phones we are talking about, sure the iphone 5 will be skinnier by quite a bit with it's sliity' screen ratio dimentions.
