Yes i know it's beta, not full etc... but it's a release and i want to talk about it. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/default.mspx First thing i noticed is that the CRC32 of the ISO has a checksum of: FFFFFFFF Chance of that just happening is 1 out of 4,294,967,296.... Did someone tinker with the iso to get that or what? In any case, i was wondering if people would recommend installing this on a new Athlon64 system, i know on bechmarks the old RC1 are a little slower compared to the 32bit XP, but has anything changed since then.. did anybody try it out yet? I know it's timebombed, but i think you can upgrade to the retail release which i expect will be out before the timebomb date. Are there any advantages of using XP 64 other then being able to address more memory? is there anything a home user could make use of? Thanks for help or info...

Nothing at all, lets also remember that 64bit drivers/applications/games etc.. are not created yet so upgrading is pretty pointless Razz

People need to step off this 64bit band wagon for a while, the benifits are far smaller than people think.
