World in Conflict wasn't a proper strategy game. So I don't care really, besides Ubisoft have published some good games in the past.
I edited the thread title to be more descriptive than "sigh" which is a far too subjective and non descriptive title.

Wasn't the World in Conflict franchise supposed to come to consoles anyway? I guess now it's safe to say we will see World in Conflict 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 with consoles as the primary focus and PC will have a 6 months delayed release for optimization and inclusion of such RTS revolutionary features as mouse control.

You forgot about the original Ground Control series and Ground Control.
Massive came up with a large number of innovations that were used in many RTS later.

Even the social gaming/casual bubble broke in the end. The big companies just discovering those types late in the game.
The new bubble is mobile gaming (for high-end mobile-phones, not for the junk phones). The funny thing, the PC SP gaming survives and provides opportunities for small companies to occupy the niche markets left unattended by the big companies.
Some MMO are there to stay, others are coming and closing in a matter of a year or two.
