On a prior cpu, I finished ep 3. Before I built a new cpu, I copied and saved the users/mydocuments/telltale folder. It had 41 save files and everything else.

So I built a new cpu with windows 8. I reinstalled all 4 walking dead reloaded versions. Game runs fine.

Problem is I can't get the game to find my previous saves and my choices. I really do not want to start again at Chapter 1.

I read on the net about the profs.file and tried copying that....still nothing. While the props file has a 12/18/12 date...the only save file in the game says Ep 2 with an 8/12 date.

When I try to continue ep3, the game is at the very end on the train. So when I tried to start ep 4, the game shows a scene from ep 2!

Unless I decide to play with random choices (which I really do not want to do), I can't figure out how to play ep 4. On my prior cpu, I was already on ep 4 in the church. I have 41 save files too.

Any help would be appreciated. Really want to see how this thing ends.

Thanks

Nit

It's simple really. You start the episode you've currently downloaded (no matter which version - Ali213 or RLD) once so that it creates a Telltale folder in Documents. You'll either have a "the walking dead" folder (in Ali213's case) or "The Walking Dead Episode N" (in RLD's case) within that folder. You then copy everything you've backed-up prior to that in it. And it's done.
