still that EA used the Dungeon Keeper license for some shitty chinese mmo and not just continuing the series. High hopes for this to go well. We'll see.

Looks pretty good but they just can't rehash DK2 with better graphics.

They need to do more IMHO.

They have my money anyways.

Even if they just rehash dungeon keeper I'm okay with it, its dirt cheap anyway. But lets hope they take it up a degree or five!

So 150k pounds is their base goal. Then they claim they'll be able to hire the supposed narrator at 225k pounds. That's a 75k difference. Seeing as how Kickstarter steals nearly ~10% of that, that means that the VO actor is charging a very hefty 67.5k pounds to narrate the game.

Morale of the story - I'm in the wrong line of work! Very Happy

While they certainly have the "feel" of the old dungeon keeper down in terms of graphics and interface, what made DK so special to me was the quirky evil humor and characters brought to life by the awesome voice-acting.

Come on, who doesn't remember the evil dominatrix whose idea of relaxing was hopping on a torture wheel and getting the shit slapped out of her? Twisted Evil Very Happy

In this regard, I think they're going to fail. They just don't have enough funding to get awesome voice overs into the game if those are the supposed going rates.

I'll buy it on sale if it makes it, but I can't risk backing it.

I don't mean to be rude, but how is 10 euro a risk?

But I can understand people running low with christmas and all.

$15 is $15. Bad decisions and shitty purchases add up over a lifetime. I'm not cheap, just careful when it comes to spending money. You never know when you might need it.

67.5k pounds for a narrator, a studio to work in, edit the sound and sync it to the game..not nearly as far fetched as you may think.

Out of the many attempts (and failures) to re-create a new DK2 this is probably the most promising one. Good Razz

In impire the rooms are premade and not free-form like here and there are several other differences as well.

What search function? Wink
You need to really specify which part of the forum you want to search, if you do not, and leave it on all, it will come up with nothing.

You should buy here: https://wftogame.com/preorder.html
it's cheaper, the devs get a larger cut and you get a steam key.

It was cheaper during the kickstarter campaign. Did you expect the game to cost less on release? Laughing

According to the FAQ they will increase price on release, so better buy it now than when it's even more expensive.
And 17€ is steep?

Uhm, really guys? I'm as so aware of that as one can be. It's just that I expected it to cost less when it hits the Steam EA. Which is all I was referring too. Holy crap. Laughing
