Search is too broken tbh. Searched for RUSE and R.U.S.E and it found nothing.
Oh, and it was available on Steam quite a while ago now.

Public beta is now available on Steam. I preloaded it on my laptop, but dunno if I will be able to run it.

it doesn't suck. Its a very nice , different, RTS. its more strategic based and not micromanagment (at all) so that what you maybe don't like. To dismiss it with "game sux imo" is rather harsh and unfair, at least if you aren't to give any actual points on why you think it sux.

Im really enjoying this beta, it seems no one uses the match making system and they need to balance out a few things but overall its a nice new experience.

I just had a couple of games of this through the steam demo against the easy AI on the measly one map they provided...I haven't tried online.
Playing it reminded me of other any other traditional old school rts, with you having to go out and secure resource stockpiles and building up a base in order to build your units. Theres researching of tech in this game too although it's a little on the lite side. It's pretty easy to pick up and play and graphical with the extreme zoom camera that fortunately works quite well, it doesn't look soo bad either up close when it's kicking off.
Whats cool i thought was that you could play this game on a strategical level with the camera zoomed way out, pushing your units across the maps like chess pieces or zoomed in to a more conventional rts view if you want finer control of micromanaging your base/units.
Wasn't so keen on world war 2 era tech playable in the demo (of which you have a choice of 6 playable nations), but am I right in thinking in the full game other time periods will be available such as modern day tanks/planes etc?.
I can imagine playing this on larger maps (2v2 or 3v3 perhaps or is it only 1v1?) could be quite fun. What else, there seems to be some sort of leveling system in place too. You get xp at the end of every battle. What that xp is used for i haven't a clue as thats all the demos giving..
As adastar says above theres some balance issues; bearing in mind you can only play against the easy AI, all I had to build was artillary and anti air for an easy win.

Fist of all, this is a beta, not a demo.
No, you obviously won't see any other tech than WW2. That's like asking BFBC2 to also have a futuristic game by the side.
Also, playing this against the AI is a pretty damn poor way of playing it, as there's no deception whatsoever.

1) apologies, beta/demo same thing to me really as it's still not the full game. Not like i'm going to give any input throught the official forums anyway.
2) I thought there might be different timelines in the full release as on the war zone screen where you can choose which technological era to fight in. You are given 3 choices from 1931 up to 1945, which only fill up a small section of the screen. Just thought perhaps in the full game more timezones would be available or even perhaps through future dlc.
3) How was I suppossed to know the AI wouldn't use deception when I only just got the demo dude. Like I said I only had time for 2 games last night. The thought of jumping straight into a MP game without knowing what the fuck I was doing didn't seem logical to me when theres a ai there to learn the game first.

Yes, but most likely Valve time. So expect it around tomorrow or the day after.

Was hoping for a multiplayer demo. Oh well, this is still nice.
Looking forward to the game quite a bit.

not exactly sure what to think of this game..
Its no COH.. not even close.. but it does have some sort of charm to it in a strange way..

How you try to compare this to CoH, I've no idea.
