Not enough action?? Sure, it isnt Serious Sam or Diablo but i thought it was plenty of fighting compared to any other RPG out there.

the fighting system basically works like in any other RPG, only in KOTOR you can really decide what your character will do before he/she starts slashing or fiering away.

Indeed Smile

The story alone is enough to play iMO, and seeing your mates evolve to your image.

haha exactly like me... the first time!

I installed it, took some time, played it for like 15 mins then de-installed it

Then i dont know why but i re-installed it and start playing it again and let me tell you man, that's the best move i did cause i finished it twice, good and bad side and this game simply rock. I cant wait for the version 2!!! I've bought a new video card 3 days ago mostly for this game.

Give it a chance again man, you wont be dissapointed i swear. Yes at first it may seems boring but man you really are missing something!

I loved KOTOR, played till mid-though in the game (found it too long and better games came out) but still I loved it (and I usually don't like these type of rpg).

But now, KOTOR2 seem like NFSU2 and Worms4 to me.. the same fucking thing with new levels... don't think it will worth it. I mean look at these screen shot, you could have inserted a KOTOR1 screen in it adn nobody would have noticed. I'll grab it anyway to check but I'm pretty sure I'll erase it soon after that

Same story with me. 1st time deinstalled it very fast. 2nd time on a faster pc it just blew me away. It's one of my all-time favorite games! Bioware, thank you for that. Very Happy 1st one had a very high average at www.gamerankings.com both pc and xbox. The average of Sith Lords for xbox is about 86%. That worries me a bit, but I think it'll turn out nicely for pc.

have to disagree as the graphics and lighting have been improved but yeah its the same engine and basically more of the same with a different story. but imo thats all i need KOTR with a different story as the first rocked and this one will too. Very Happy

The original KotOR was one hell of a title. I played it through I beleive three or four times.
The voice acting was great, the writing was superb (first RPG in a long time where I actually FELT for the other characters), and the character development was fun and worthwhile.

The sequel garnered up some good reviews (although lower than the original), but its basically the same engine, same mechanics, new story (new classes I believe?).

Still, even when keeping all of this in mind, I can't help but feel skeptical. Why? They gave it to a different development team, and that's one choice I don't understand.
Anxiously awaiting KotOR 2 though, hoping it will give me that same feeling as the original, but skeptical.

Thanks for the heads up, i didn't know that it will be released next week... time flies. Anyway, i'm really looking forward to this, the first one was fun to play. A new developer doesn't mean a bad thing in the first place, maybe they had some new refreshing ideas Smile

i agree. well maybe not much much much much better, but yet a bit better.

the first one felt more professional. the worlds and the story felt much better in first one for example. i even liked the characters better. it also included raptors and sandpeople and cool stuff like that.

dont get me wrong, kotor2 is still a good game. and there is a really big chanse that if you liked the first one you will like this one as well.

Don't forget that KOTOR2 is developed by a diff studio. It's not Bioware anymore, so it was kinda abvious it won't reach same level.

My friend has the xbox version and he says it is freaking awesome. So it may actually be better than the first

I saw the X-box version, it was like 5 FPS in the bigger battles, sometimes it locked up for for 1-2 seconds. I cant understand how anyone would ruin a good gaming experince by playing the x-box version.

Agreed, same goes for HALO 2, really slows down in some parts, and in the cutscenes the textures usually load too slow so before you should see what you should see you see ugly models and sometimes you see white models. Consoles suck.

How is the music in the xbox version by the way? RPGDot wasn't very pleased with the music. I loved the score by Jeremy Soule. This one seems to be done by a rookie.

Why is it sad....? Consoles run outdated graphics, these days the consoles have a hard time running their own games, HALO 2 as i mentioned, it has a fucking hard time with Fable, and KOTOR2. The online mode on the PS2 and the XBOX are inferior to that of the PC, no mods, no patches, not to mention that you have to pay for the online mode which is not worth it. Then comes the lack of good games, and the joystick which cancels RTS games and makes FPS games alot harder. The games are also more expensive than PC games. There you have it, is that a sad generalization as well......

IMO KOTOR is one of the best games out there, even if u dont like Star wars (like myself) its still a VERY great game that has nothing (almost) to do with the original Star Wars.
I finished it for the 3rd time this month, and heck there arent a lot of games with a well done twist ! Smile

Yes and like Immunity said this is one of the FEW games u actually care for the characters.
I didnt play KOTOR2 yet but i have faith in Black Isle Studio (Fallout!!!!)

Too bad kotor's characters arent in then 2nd one Sad

Its 3-4 days untill this game is released and heck im getting this one!

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.
