From the C77 teaser:

And that's not all that's new. We are about the reveal our other project, which is much closer to being completed, and yes it will be a fully open-world game with an intense story. You can probably guess the game we're talking about. On the 5th of February it will be all clear.

Seems too soon for TW3, also they announced a while back they had 2 major projects (TW3 and CP2077) and other "minor" ones to fill up the time until their release.

At least that's what I remember

Anyway, if it's TW3 I won't complain Smile

The Witcher series was always about roaming the countryside and moving around the world killing monsters and shit so I'm really glad they finally gonna make true, open world Witcher game. Can't wait Smile It'll be interesting to see how it will fare compared to Skyrim, both gameplay and sales wise.

Minor open world ones? Razz

They wrote "you can probably guess the game we're talking about" so unless they want to be dicks, it's going to be TW3. Smile

I wonder how they'll handle their type of storytelling in "a fully open world".

I'm fully sated on open world games atm, so bad news for me. I liked the semi open world of the witcher just the way it was.

PB has changed, so i'm not at all hyped when they announce any game. I do enjoy them, but they aren't anything special anymore.

Worried as well. Open world games tend toward bland, soulless expanses of terrain and a disconnected hodgepodge of quests, plus randomly generated loot BS that ruins the whole thing. Hope they don't use Bethesda's formula.

Piranha Bytes did, a long time ago, but that's pretty much it. However The Witcher doesn't need this, just like it didn't more loot. This is actually exactly like that "problem" with the loot aspect the first game apparently had. Huh...

If they do open world Amalur / Fable style, I will be very disappointed. Press mouse 1 to climb a small ledge or climb ladders is stupid. Even Mass Effect don't have problems like this. Let us drop down a ledge just by walking to it.

Semi-open world or open world.. doesn't matter that much to me as long as it is indeed the Witcher 3. Cant wait to continue the adventures of Geralt Very Happy
