2K14 will be released for current generation platforms on Oct. 1 and is slated to be available on the as-yet-determined launch dates for the next-generation PS4 and X-Box One. Jason Argent, senior vice president of sports operations for 2K Sports, said playing 2K14 on current- and next-generation platforms would be “independent experiences.”

After what 2K Sports pulled this season with the PC version of 2K13 I'm afraid I'm no longer looking forward to the new "entry" in the series. I guess I'll play it on Derpstation when I visit my cousins for some family tournaments and that's it.
So what improvements will be in this years game ?
And the next gen consoles will be great especially with the more precice controllers as nba 13 controls still feel delayed not loads but noticable.

2k13 was a good game gameplay-wise. They fixed the majority of problems 2k12 had. I can't see much difference between last year and this year and the trend will continue until they change the engine.
I think the biggest addition this year are the european teams.
look like a gameplay balance. which as a die hard nba and 2k fan, is still worth getting.
driving the lane last year was too easy and its all the AI did, this year is focused on balancing the game so more mid range, post shots and general sensible play goes on.
plus the new blocking system looks like a lote of fun. so im up for it. but would never pay full price as that is literally all they have changed from last year pretty much.
This series became as stagnant as FIFA
Same engine since 2k8, same association mode which is broken beyond belief and 2K don't fix it spending all their effort on my player mode which is the most popular one (not for me tho). Shame.

Looks like they finally fired that incompetent rooster guy.
Still, pointless spending cash on regular versions this season. I was tempted to buy pes, but I'll rather wait for ps4 versions. There's bound to be at least one gem at release. Maybe even this one.
Its released. The game works fine with the mini image. What more you want? Or I guess you are one of those snobs who can't play the game if the release is not FRAM DA SCENE
