Focus Home Interactive has announced a new Sherlock Holmes game, Crimes and Punishments.

According to the press release, the game “will build upon the success” of The Testament of Sherlock Holmes with changes to both the graphic and gameplay.

Frogwares Studio isn’t using its homemade graphics engine to built the game, instead it the team will use Epic’s Unreal Engine 3.

TBH I didn't enjoy TTOSH as much as I did previous games.

I'm glad they're using a new engine.

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

+1
It will be interesting to see how they'll implement the Mass Effect-style moralising and integrate it with the puzzles, but these guys know what they're doing.

With each passing SH game, Focus makes every iteration of the series the most graphically stunning one. Looks really good.

Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Silver Earring
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened
Sherlock Holmes versus Arsène Lupin
Sherlock Holmes Versus Jack the Ripper

Some off-screen gameplay:

Looks like a more cinematic version of The Testament of SH, which is fine I guess. Hope the magic vision doesn't make the game too derp-friendly Cool Face

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
