Since my webhost doesnt offer .kr ill have to find someone who does, since i read alot of horror stories about godaddy and co i am catious with buying domain names especially since this one will hopefully be the start of a popular site.

A quick google i found prices ranging from 40 to 90 US dollars, so i wondered if any of you got experience or good resources to pick the right company to buy the .kr domain from, cheaper the better as long as its trustworthy.

Maybe this is helpfull: http://krnic.kisa.or.kr/jsp/english/domain/agency.jsp since the ones I can vouch for their trustworthiness do not have this domain for sale.

thats a nice list , only 15 euros a year. But i cant seem to find any with english versions of their site.

why does .kr mean? Is it a country code like website.ca (canadian website)? Or does it have some sort of advantage?

.kr is the South Korean country code.
