2005.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0407304/ - Spielberg
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0449040/ - David Michael Latt
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425638/ - Timothy Hines

I know Spielberg's is the best out of those (no doubt about it...) but if anyone saw the other 2 ones, what do you think about them ? Smile

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

*SPOILERS*

I thought the STV version was really boring.
- First of all, they changed the tripods to these six-legged paper cutouts. The things moved so slow that you hardly felt anybody was in any real danger.
- Then there's the characters, they introduce a lot of horrible characters that are on screen for a few minutes before being killed off, but why?
- Then there's the fact that the aliens are NEVER around. What's the purpose of all the character development when they end up dying minutes after being introduced?
- The effects were horrible even for an indie film. Whenever the aliens were on screen I thought I was watching an 80s sci-fi, which should be unacceptable 20 years later.
- To top it all, the script was HORRIBLE. I mean come on, you're telling me that these advanced aliens create a gas that defies physics and never rises more than 5 feet off the ground??
- The acting was terrible. Most of the actors have a bland look on their faces. The so-called aussie preist has a british accent.
I guess that's why this is STV...
At least the tripods in the spielberg version seemed like a threat...

The only reason to see the STV version is if you're having trouble sleeping.

Erm, someone needs to go back to school. I thought it was common knowledge that if a gas is denser then air that it will remain at the lowest possible point.
