Anyone else catch this show growing up? I nostalgia downloaded this and it is proper awesome. Believable characters, Vietnam war, racism, drug addiction, political meddling, the public response etc.

It had a killer soundtrack as well but they couldn't get rights for the DVD release:

Oh yeah, one of my favourites growing up. Had the DVD box.
Definitely one of the best war series ever produced.

I had one of the cassette tapes with the excellent soundtrack. But somehow never seen much of it when it aired.

There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

This and Hill Street Blues were among the absolute best things on TV back in the 80's.



Too bad I was still too young to appreciate them fully.
