Got Alpha Access and played couple of hours yesterday.
I liked it very much. When this game is polished will become real fun.
Played some mode where you have to control spawn points in 4vs4 team fight.
You have the usual 8 elements for combinations and some special power attacks.

Hi folks! I will explain the situation to you. (I'm the Community Developer for Magicka: Wizard Wars).
Some of you may or may not know that Paradox Interactive (the publisher for Magicka: Wizard Wars and the Mount and Blade games) will no longer continue to publish the Mount and Blade series. With this in mind and to offer a form of "thank you" for the 5 and a half years that some of you have been with us in one form or another we gave a little goodwill gesture gift.
The gift in this case was Magicka: Wizard Wars Early Access, it's up to you if you choose to play or not, but I will confirm you will NOT be charged a cent. Your play now is entirely free, and when the final version is launched that too will be free-to-play going forward.
We hope you have fun and again thank you for a fun 5 and a half years! (and hopefully even longer should you find Wizards to be your thing!)
Sooo...they no longer going to pulish M&B, so they gave away a bunch of Magickas. I fail to see the connection, but still, Paradox kicks ass.
So... what is this? I've had the beta since .... quite while ago, but I've yet to try this I found Magicka nice, but only as a coop, alone it was boring crap. The wars is simply a Magicka with pvp only or?

Based on all the gameplay I've seen, it doesn't look all that moba-like compared to others. I like the idea and all behind it, but I wonder if it's just going to be kind of dull. Guess we'll see.
Not a moba. 2 teams of 4 players, you have 3 points to hold and cap, kinda like Battlefield. No AI , towers, destroy base , weapons upgrade ingame etc...
You unlock weapons/armors with levels. Change your loadout before a game .
its not a standard moba, but there is no other term/genre that would describe this game. It would benefit if it was a bit more like real moba, because having games end in 2 minutes in 4 out of 5 games, is just silly and boring.. i suppose its similar to most mobas out there in regards that only 1 out of xx will be good game.
