Ill reply although I doubt Ill be of much help. I haven't had this problem with Halo2 and I think I have passed that part you describe. I had an exceptionally annoying dirty disk error with Mortal Kombat Deception. I got round it by copying it to the HDD and playing it from there so my response to your Halo2 issue is copy it to your hard drive and play Smile

brand of media is very important. just because a disk plays doesnt mean its ok. i always have the verify burn box checked for such a reason.

I had the dirty disk error right after the Bungie/Microsoft logo also. I tried 4 different types of disc! In the end I managed to get a working copy using a 4x Datawrite Grey DVD-R using Disc Juggler!

Rip to hard drive , and if dirty disk error still persist ( yes , even from hard drive ), use tf6 - Halo 2 Encryptomatic Signature Tool to get the maps to work
