Hah, well there's also Gladiator: Sword of Vengeance but it kinda trailed off from gladiator combat after the intro mission where you were killed off, had some nice grass effects for it's time but hit performance quite hard from what I remember.
I think there's been a few other titles for the PC platform as well but I can't remember any names at the moment.

Yeah I liked that game , some nice effects in that time..
they should just make a sequel to shadow of rome from ps2, that was a fun and violent game.
Words of wisdom. Heck, they could even do a HD remake of the game and launch it for the PC. Shadow of Rome was the definition of a true Roman gladiator based game.
Too bad Capcom is busy whoring out all their franchises.
