Award-winning veteran games developer and international games label Team17 today announced its presence at gamescom, held from 22nd – 26th August, in Cologne, Germany.
Team17 will host press meetings, and meetings for potential new partners and developers that would like to pitch their games, by appointment only in the business area.
Gamescom attendees will also be able to get hands-on with Team17’s highly anticipated line-up on the show floor at the Team17 booth in hall 8 throughout Wednesday 23rd – Saturday 26th August. Playable games include:
Genesis: Alpha One – World exclusive first hands-on!
In a near future ravaged by wars; corrupt regimes and global capitalism left unchecked have resulted in natural resource over-exploitation and pollution devastating the planet. As the Captain of a Genesis starship, you journey into uncharted space on the ultimate mission. Build and manage a space vessel, farm resources, deal with terrifying alien infestations, clone creatures and explore a vast, randomly generated universe.
Your goal: Find new homes for humanity’s DNA and save the species from extinction.
Sword Legacy: Omen
Set in the candlepunk realm of Broken Britannia, a once-thriving kingdom full of alchemical and technological advances now fragmented by intrigue and deceit. As the vengeful knight, Uther, and his misfit band of companions, players will embark on a thrilling journey to locate the long-lost Excalibur. In this bloody, brutal take on the Arthurian legend, players will explore rich environments, experience a riveting storyline and survive intense turn-based tactical combat to define the fate of Britannia.
Yoku’s Island Express
A unique and quirky pinball platform adventure with handcrafted visuals. Flip and bump our pint-sized protagonist around the stunning hand-painted island on your quest to rebuild the post-office, discover the mystery of the Fruit Altar, and wake an old god from its deep slumber.
The Escapists 2
The sequel to the multi-million selling, award-winning sandbox prison-escape game. The Escapists 2 features multiplayer, a first for the series, as well as new ways to escape, new items to craft, a completely revamped combat system, new customisation options and more!

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Yeah, something like that. Microsoft, EA and Blizzard will have their own special stage and coverage.
Rest of them will have their games playable at booths and answer press questions if any. 15-30 minutes coverage from IGN. http://www.ign.com/events/gamescom
