"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
They were called Nephilims, weren't they? The offspring of angels fucking earth women?
Quote:
The Nephilim were the offspring of the "sons of God" and the "daughters of men" according to Genesis 6:4; and giants who inhabited Canaan according to Numbers 13:33.
The Brown-Driver-Briggs Lexicon gives the meaning of Nephilim as "giants".
Going back to earlier sources:
Quote:
A similar biblical Hebrew word with different vowel-sounds is used in Ezekiel 32:27 to refer to dead Philistine warriors.
They were called Nephilims, weren't they? The offspring of angels fucking earth women?
Pretty much what these numskulls try to "prove".
They start with the presupposition that the Bible is a literal historical document, and then set out to find evidence that supports that idea and everything that contradicts it is part of the evil scientific-conspiracy. They never present any actual evidence, just throwing ideas around, like "durr, dinozaurz were big, so humanz were bigz too". If they claim they have evidence, it is always misplaced, stolen by the evil scientists, a painfully obvious fake or in most cases only a simple sentence "based on the evidence" yet not showing said evidence.
Gonna watch this one for the laughs, but I've seen enough about "biblical archaeology" to know not to expect much.
BTW: is that Daniken on the preview pic of the video? That's some quality scientific mind right there.
