Yeah it's basically an MMO-lite for consoles. It would have been in design/pre-production before Destiny was announced, but it's pretty much the same idea from what I can gather.

Waiting for the imminent downgrade. Are the voices in the gameplay from game or pseudoplayers? Because they are aweful.

I was so hoping for a singleplayer campaign...bastards.
This has been their goal for years now. It started with trying to get in on World of Warcraft's racket with SWTOR. And remember that DA Inquisition was originally meant to be a fantasy version of this, and only got changed to single player mid-development.
Looks graphically absolutely mindblowing (waiting for the downgrade tho, this kind of graphics for sure is not going to be in the final version with current derp consoles). Also looks like like Bioware wants their own Destiny.

Who doesn't want their own "its not mmo but kind of mmo" game right now. F2P games are already that and now pay up front games are going that direction too. It makes sure piracy is not a thing, cheating is not a thing and they could make money post- launch by pumping out cheap cosmetics, boosters and loot crates, instead of investing further into massive expansions of old. Each major update also comes as an opportunity to market the game again and keep a healthy playerbase.
Now that EA has one, Activision has one, Ubisoft kind of has one (albeit done poorly business model wise), and I guarantee Bethesda is working on one and Blizzard will turn Diablo 4 into one.
- a heavily scripted "gameplay" trailer that looks gorgeous ( the game will be nothing like this obviously coz..consoles&parity)
- 3 active skills..you gotta make it as really easy for a derppad user lying on a couch
- derpware..yeah...I expect nothing good from them..

I don't think bioware is capable of developing something that excites me, I just don't care about their games anymore, bee it A team or B team developed
