I am having problems with the Vengeance release.....I have seen this question one other place, but did not see an answer to it, if it was answered around here, I am sorry for asking again, but it's a pain to search every thread looking for something that seems very rare.
Anyways, I run the hl2.exe file to allow me to play in offline mode, I start the game, and I can play it, until it goes to load another part of the level, once it loads, it brings this up ...
ramfiles/valve/steam/steamapps/user/halflife 2/hl2.exe
that's all it says, I am not sure what is wrong with it, I can load the game up again, and go back and play the next part, but when the game loads every two or three minutes, it's a pain in the ass...and not even worth it at all.
This is the dvd Vengeance release by the way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

well, I stated my problem in the other thread, and it doesn't seem to get any response, granted it's only been a day, I really want to play this, and wouldn't mind some help....so if anyone has any answers, might as well talk about it in here, since this thread hasn't been closed at all.

I have searched for updates, yes, but haven't found any, I don't know where to get them, and when I do find something, it's just an nfo update, and is for counter strike, not half life 2.
