ZombiU

Description:

London is falling! Are YOU prepared? It is 2012 and the Last Blight is upon us...It was foretold. For the second time in history, a great plague has enveloped London in a fog of death. Big Ben tolls as hundreds upon thousands of the unprepared die or are infected by a sickness worse than death...

Features:

* You are still breathing, for now. But how long will you survive in the labyrinth of London streets and underground - abandoned by the outside world, surrounded by the Infected. The horrifying remains of humanity ravaged by the foul disease shuffle through the streets, waiting to prey on your living flesh at every turn!

* ZombiU is built from the ground up to take advantage of the Wii U and its revolutionary new controller and will test your will to survive in a fear-fueled zombie Survival Horror First Person Shooter. So grab hold of the Swiss knife of survival kits - your new controller - and stock up your Bug-Out Bag with supplies! Make every second count; you only get one chance.

The sole reason I have any interest in the Wii U. I think it deserves a thread Smile

i dont think any games have been dumped yet. but it might be possible as there are still open vulnerabilities in the wii mode on the wii u. im looking into dumping, but currently dont have enough time. ill update when i know more...

edit: btw, this game is pretty fucking awesome. using the gamepad's screen as a map, scanner, etc. is a pretty good use for it.

the only wii u game out right now I'm interested in.. bayonetta 2 will join it eventually I guess.
For now not enough of a reason to buy a the console.

I bought a wii for muramasa and figured I'd get some extra use out of it that I didn't see yet, but I never really did play anything on it other than muramasa despite having the ability to pirate anything I wanted.
so not making that mistake again Smile

I love it. I play it sometimes. it has a nice atmosphere. it is rather difficult. gots to be careful at times. it does have scripted events. Sad but they still catch you.

and the whole multi-player bit is pretty nice too. me and my GF play together. she kicks my ass as a zombie master. Waiting for the awesome pro controller to arrive. it's like sold out everywhere. Sad

I have no interest whatsoever in the Wiiu after this (and never really did anyway).

yes critics. lol. gamers across the web are praising this game. Laughing if you trust the gaf community Cool Face then the game is a goty. a few other forums are also praising this game. but gaf is just cumming all over it.

and i do agree with them. it's a tight game.

Really looking forward to this one, i mean.. the reviews are all over the place. So what does that mean?

It means fuck all, thats what it means.

Seems like its very subjective if you like it or not, i can def see some of the guys giving it a shit review just being in a semi-rage mode because they`re just fucking bad at it. And its to haaaard waaaah where`s my auto checkpoint-let-me-win Rage

A thing i always notice when watching say, GT`s reviews is that most of the time the guys playing just aren`t that good at playing games. It`s kinda weird when your job consists of freaking PLAYING GAMES.

Just take a look at their play-style, aiming skills and general lack of orientation lol wut

I know how nerd-rage can turn a good, or even great game into "Fuck this shitty shit game fuck you" when you`re constantly failing.l And It seems like ZombiU makes everyone fail, and really wants you to.

Take demons souls for example, that game is awsome. And i know that, but i have troubles focusing sometimes because of my several severe mental issues and even tough i know its a great game it still ended with Rage and me being all Pffchh whatever bitch.

Will be at my local Elkjøp (Norwegian electronics chain) at 10.00 AM on friday to snatch one. Not just because im a sucker for new consoles, but because the look on my 7-year old sons face when he sees a WiiU suddently in our livingroom with MarioU all of a sudden in his hands is epic and priceless So Much Win

EDIT: Man, thats alot of Emoticons in one post. I want a medal.

Just bought a wiiU for the youngest (& sole remaining kid at home) What am I doin posting then? Well the gamepad battery needs to be charged 1st n that has taken 80 min and counting.
Also the console lacks an rj45 socket- wireless only unless you shell out some more dollars for a proprietory adapter scummy play Nintendo - scummy play we bought the alleged 'premium pack'. This may be old news to many of you but I'm not a console gamer just the mug who pays for consoles so I didn't read alla the blurbs.

Anyway I'm sure once those are resolved -just dug out an old wireless access point router thingy to put in the kids games room (we generally hardwire the consoles cause the existing 3 way (access point modem router thingy) is at the other end of our dump and wireless never workd too well down there) .

The dweebs at the local store had strictly observed the embargo which meant they didn't have a functioning demo model yet either. No charge in gamepad.

I thought this may be handy info 4 anyone else who has a family with a built in early adopter desperate to play the thing now!. lol he's a good kid I just wish he'd stop pacing up and down the house. Smile

You do know that the Wii Ethernet adapter works with the Wii U? Meaning even the $5 3rd party ones from Deal Extreme work?

I think it was GT that said that it´s too repetitive. Basicly you just club zombies with way to many hits with a stick over and over again. Is this the case? And if so, does it really feel that repetetive, or is it nice to do the zombie whackamole?

Well I did consider the possibility that being so but there is no specialist gaming store where I live n the 'electronics stores only sell namebrand stuff so their availability isn't immediate hence the wireless access point solution.
It is still an un-neccessary hassle. Many gamers prefer hard wired net access n leaving an rj45 appears to be part of a long list of 'things missing' on day 1.

eg installing the wii was meant to allow me to move the ps3 into the workshop to update custom firmware The PS3 had been the kid's media player which allowed him to access the house media server, It looks as though the 360 ( a far from capable media player itself), will have to temporarily fulfil that function cause afaik there is no media player on wii U without TVii which aint out yet and when it does come out will only be available in amerika & canuckistan.

I don't wanna harp on about the wii u bein fucked up. I wanted it to be a good next gen console then maybe I'll get one for me & the kid certainly seems to be having a good time with it, but alla these little niggles are gonna cost nintendo because as well as being totally avoidable, they are annopying because they aren't little glitches, they prevent customers from using the thing which isn't a good avenue to a 'positive day one buzz'.

the day One update is only 1.2 gig altho there have been a few others (smaller) since then.

Its a shame really.

My girlfriend just won a WiiU and I went out and bought ZombiU coz it almost made me buy the console when it was first released.

I have spent about 20 hours with the game and I loved it. Due to the innovative controller and the way it works with the game plus the awesome atmosphere, I have never felt such tension in a game since the original Thief!

But alas despite reaching the end of the game it was a somewhat buggy piece of shit I have to say. Rather than following missions and waypoints I decided to go off exploring and do things in my own way. Little did I know it would ruin my game and prevent me from completing it. Somehow I jumped ahead of the games mission structure and skipped the script so the remaining objectives could not be completed as I had already completed them. Not only that but my then current survivor fell out of the fucking map in the 'Tower of London' section and when returning to that area to recover my equipment, the dead survivor falls out of the map as soon as I enter it making it impossible to recover my equipment.

And there is only one save?! What the hell if I multiple saves available, I could have reloaded back before the game broke! Mad

Its a shame because it was a great game IMO.
