I got an email this morning from MrModchips telling of a solderless modchip for ps2 called DMS4 EZI PRO. Fifty quid seems a lot of money though . Heres the link if anyone wishes to take a look:
I received and fitted mine on tuesday. Once i'd gotten past the fortress of metal that sony used in the case of the ps2, the install was simple. As long as the clips are flat up against the motherboard once you connect them, you shouldn't have a problem. Very nice chip, worth the money if you can't solder.
Mine should arrive tomorrow or tuesday, I hope that everything will go alright. Having a v9, I should do the romeo fix but it involves the soldering of a wire
