|
 |
When the original disk of Gran Turismo 4 is used on a PS2 with internal mod chip, then the PS2 does not recognize the disk, we tried a different original disk (rented), this one started one out of 20 tries, the other never, we tried also cleaning the laser head..no change. Does any one know how this could be fixed? Any Help would be appricated.
It is a real disc, not pirated but store bought
Any help is appreciated

Some older ps2's have a tough time reading DVD-9. I know my old one hated Xenosaga, had to try and boot it 5-6 times for it to work and that was with the game being brand new.

try doing a forced boot, ill try to explain best i can: put your system on standby (reset light is red) with the game in. then push and hold the reset button, at the exact time the button turns blue, release the reset button (you should see an extra "flicker" on your tv). the game should boot up fine. i have this problem lots of times and this is my solution. if youre having trouble understanding that, let me know ill try to explain further

Put the chip in "off" mode and try.
